HUNDERVELD - GARE DU NORD

Most of the route of the number 20 service has been made redundant due to the number 19 tram route. Conversely, public transport services need to be improved in the Basilique, Bénès and Sebrechts districts (housing developments, schools, sports centre and convalescent home).

New route

The line will be extended from Etangs Noirs to Gare du Nord via Ribaucourt and Tour & Taxis. There will also be a new route between Etangs Noirs and Bastogne via Karreveld, and between the Schweitzer and Bénès stops,via Avenue de la Basilique, Avenue Bénès and Avenue Sebrechts:

  • A new service for the Basilique, Bénès and Sebrechts districts;
  • A new service is also being planned for the Tour & Taxis site, between Molenbeek and Berchem-Sainte-Agathe;
  • A direct service will run between different districts of Koekelberg and Berchem-Sainte-Agathe;
  • Connection with metro lines 1, 2, 5 and 6;
  • Connection with Gare du Nord train services;
  • Following consultation with those districts affected, the route has been simplified. Rather than running along the narrow Rue Van Zande, the route has been redirected along wider streets.
