DE BROUCKERE - UZ-VUB

Route number 88 is convoluted and therefore complicated and hard to understand. Directly connecting services between the Tour &Taxis site and the city centre correspond to a genuine demand.

New route

The new number 88 service will operate a new route between the Armateurs and Pouchkine stops via Boulevard Emile Bockstael as well as a new route from Bockstael to the UZ Brussel [University Hospital Brussels], replacing the number 53 service which has now been altered.

  • New faster and more direct connection between Jette, Bockstael, Tour & Taxis and the city centre;
  • New direct connection to the city centre from the districts of Dieleghem, UZ Brussel [University Hospital Brussels], and Prince Leopold;
  • This service will terminate once again at UZ Brussel [University Hospital Brussels], having served Dieleghem and Liebrecht;
  • After consultation, a new route via Avenue Crocq has been introduced along with a new service for Avenue du Heymbosch, Avenue Van Engeland and Avenue Swartenbrouck.
