ZEN-PARK - GARE DU MIDI

The various developments along Boulevard Industriel (residential blocks, industrial estates and Cinemark) fully justify improved bus services to the area.

New route

The number 68 bus route will connect the Gare du Midi station and the Zen Park industrial estate, running along the entire length of Boulevard Industriel. It will thus complement or replace the service to the industrial areas currently provided by bus routes 78 and 98, which have been amended.

  • An improved service for the Boulevard Industriel and its nearby industrial parks;
  • An improved service along the larger section of the Boulevard Industriel (two services instead of one single service).

The CO2 emissions for this trajectory are 609g. By car this would be 875g. (Calculation method).

In order to know the % average CO2 emissions of your journey by public transport, we use the following method: the length of your journey in km multiplied by the % average emission factor per passenger and per kilometre of the STIB vehicles. .
The average emission factors of the STIB vehicles are as follows:

  • Metro: 20g CO2 / (km*passager) 20g CO2
  • Tram: 30g CO2 / (km*passager)
  • Bus: 110g CO2 /(km*passager)
  • Train (SNCB): 26g CO2 /(km*passager)

The result is compared with emissions of a % wagon that follow the same path. The % length in kilometres of your journey is multiplied by the % average emission factor per passenger and per kilometre of a wagon. Average emission factor of a wagon is 158g CO2 / (km* passenger)
