GARE DU MIDI - SIMONIS

On route 49, it is becoming increasingly apparent that higher capacity buses are required. Moreover, better connections are required between the districts of Molenbeek to the south of Place de Bastogne, and the Simonis metro station.

New route

The new number 49 service will operate a new route between Bastogne and Simonis station, taking the route of the current number 20 bus. The route to Bockstael will henceforth be covered by the number 53 bus.

  • New direct connection between the Simonis metro station and Boulevard Mettewie;
  • A shorter route enabling a more regular service;
  • Ultimately, a higher capacity (articulated) bus fleet will be rolled out on this route to provide more seating and improved comfort.
